So, I am looking at getting a new 5 ton unit for my house. I had a guy come out and give me an estimate and he said my current return is way to small for a 5 ton unit. I currently just have one return that comes in to my garage and it is 12 x 18. He said that 5 tons need to breathe alot and that he wants to get it as close to 20 x 20 as possible.
